Mr. Tate is the GEC’s director and development manager, bringing 35 years of experience in the oil and gas sector.
Through Chris Tate Consulting, he advises groups looking to acquire oil and natural gas assets in North America and Africa.
Prior to setting up his consultancy business, Mr. Tate was the European Managing Partner of Aegis Asset Partners, a Texas-based asset backed financing group, where he developed sources of capital in Europe and for the location of potential investment transactions.
Mr. Tate also spent four years as UK-based Managing Director of the International Energy Network. While there he developed new capital sources and coordinated the development of new business including innovative investment structures and limited partnership products.
Mr. Tate graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the Liverpool University in 1978, attaining his Master’s Degree in Petroleum Geology from Imperial College, London in 1979 and an MBA from City University, London in 1988.
